Also, a commenter asked me yesterday what type of white ink I used on the wrapping paper in the post below. I use Memories Unicorn pigment ink. I am very pleased with the coverage this ink provides and believe, but am not sure, that it is now marketed as Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink.

The second I saw the Mondo Magnolia dies in the Essentials by Ellen line, this card came to mind. The big bold beautiful flowers remind me of Marimekko. If you were around in the 1970s, you'll remember seeing Marimekko fabric, dishes, etc. everywhere. It was so groovy! If you weren't around, bless your heart.
This is an A6 card to accommodate more of the flowers, but you can fit parts of 3 flowers on an A2 card. Since there is no ink or stamps, this is a snap to make. Cardbase + die cutting flowers and you are done. A great way to use scraps.
MOOD WHEN DONE = Mondo Graphic

wonderful card, Joan - and i'd forgotten all about Marmimekko but i do remember it!! and yes, the white ink is marketed by Hero Arts as unicorn and it is all i use when i need white - good stuff.
Love it! I think the bold graphic look of this is really lovely!
I thought these flowers were stamped at first, and then I thought maybe designer paper, but then I read that they're dies. This looks so pretty all simple, but bold and graphic. Very cool!
Joan, this is awesome. Great color choice. And I love Marimekko. We have a store in Seattle that sells clothes, accessories, and bolts of fabric by her. It's a feast. Thanks for stopping by my site today and commenting. I have been meaning to drop you a line since the holidays as you had a few really moving posts at that time that resonated with me, writing-wise. Really appreciated your insights. And I always appreciate your work. You are the reason I bought that Hero arts geometric shapes/holiday sentiments set as your simple but bold watercolor cards had me swooning. Anyway, love the new site here and all your Ellen product cards!!! Hope to be in touch more often as I've missed my crafty connections and correspondences! Only so much a girl can do, though!!
I love this! Gorgeous, Joan!
thanks!
Oh, my! I'm so glad I ordered all the flowers and dies - this is absolutely stunning!

This card is wonderful. I vaguely remember these patterns as a child, but I've seen them in retro stores now, and simple gravitate toward them. Well done!
