Filling Time with Color!

The above 3 cards use Gina K Design's Just Because set. Second card uses a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Good Vibes.

These last 2 cards use Simon Says Stamp Geometric Builder Square Dies - first is a sentiment from Altenew and the second one uses a pre printed Sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp.

MOOD WHEN DONE: Enjoy surrounding myself with color and stamping. So, I'm good! Somewhat patiently waiting my turn for the vaccine. Better days are coming!

Happy Festivus!

December 23rd! It's Festivus -- the day we all can whine away!

I celebrated by making this slimline card (likely the first and last slimline I make!). I cut out the letters using different alphabet dies and all Stamp Market cardstock, intending to use the letters themselves. Honestly, the thought of die cutting a bunch more to make the letters thick just wore me out, so I decided to use the leftovers! Perfect for Festivus!

I was part of a mini Instagram hop celebrating the holiday. You can find my post here and check out the links to the other cards.

I'm whining this year about the plastic wrap around slices of American cheese (Why? It is such an environmental waste, costs $$, and makes the fake cheese taste even fakier.). My other whine is the fact that it takes multiple clicks of the remote control to turn our TV on or off. You see, life is tough in 2020!

MOOD WHEN DONE: Annoyed! After all, it's Festivus! Happy to listen to your whines in the comments!

Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge: Thank You

Reverse Confetti sponsors a "Stock Your Stash" challenge and the current one is, appropriately, a thank you card challenge.

Paired a new floral set, Botanical, with Best Sentiments. I pretty much avoid all coloring now, but this pretty vase and flowers needed a little color. So, I ink blended the vase and colored the small flowers with Copics. I like how it turned out!  To emphasize the different fonts and sizes in the sentiment, I blended ink on the bottom border. Using Distress Oxide inks and a blender brush really helps smooth out the color.

CHALLENGE DETAILS

  • The Stock Your Stash link list is open from November 1st until noon CST on November the 28th. Click the "Play To Win" button on the Reverse Confetti blog sidebar to enter your card.
  • Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win. This is a way for Reverse Confetti to thank their customers for using their stamps.
  • You may enter as many times as you wish.
  • Use #SYSChallenge when posting on social media for this challenge.
  • There will be a random winner selected each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.
  • The winner of challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.
MOOD WHEN DONE: Great! This is my last guest post for Reverse Confetti. It's been fun trying out their products and stretching my skills. Thanks for the opportunity.

Circles of Color

Used a fun set of dies called Geometric Builder Circles by Simon Says to make this colorful card. Sentiment is from a sentiment strip, also at Simon Says Stamp.

MOOD WHEN DONE: Good. This is the last card I'm making until all my Christmas cards are in the mail!

Thank you for your comments. I love reading them!

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop!

Well, this was fun and easy to make.
  1. Stamped, embossed, and ink blended the small tree in Reverse Confetti's Deerly on white cardstock 10 times.
  2. Die cut using the coordinating die and popped up each tree with foam tape on cream cardstock.
  3. Trimmed and popped up again on a white A2 card.
  4. Covered the top of each tree with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen.
  5. Adhered small gold embellishments to brighten it up.
  6. Stamped and embossed sentiment from Yuletide Mice.

Here's the list of all the blog hop participants. Can't wait to see what they've created!
