Magical Deer 3 Ways: on the Spellbinders Blog

I'm up on the Spellbinders blog today featuring 3 ways to use the Magical Deer set of dies - Christmas, New Year's and Birthday! I would love it you checked it out. You can find my post here

To whet your appetite, here's a partial look each of the cards. See that bottom card? It's 5"x7", and my most fave birthday card I've ever made.

MOOD WHEN DONE: I made these quite a while ago and I loved making these cards. These products are definitely my style.

Folklore Die - Fast and Slow

This first card was a snap to make -

  • Die cut the beautiful Folklore Die (along with the circle die that comes with it) from A Pocket Full of Happiness twice and adhered together.
  • Ink blended white cardstock and adhered the white die cut with foam tape onto the ink blended cardstock.
  • Adhered that to aqua cardstock.
  • Adhered to a square white card.
  • Added gems.
Lots of adhering! I used Bearly Arts Glue, which is the only glue I use now. Keep the pin in the top and it doesn't ever clog. Lasts forever!

The second card took a lot longer, but I enjoyed making it.

  • Trim navy cardstock to A2 size.
  • Die cut with Folklore Die without using the circle die.
  • Adhere to a white piece of cardstock.
  • Die cut repeatedly in 2 shades of yellow, white, and light blue.
  • Glue every little piece into the appropriate slot.
  • Die cut to make up for the little pieces that got lost in the process and to have doubles on the dark yellow.
  • Add gems.
  • Adhere to A2 white card.
  • Die cut sentiment that is part of the set. Adhere.

Fast and slow both have their places.

MOOD WHEN DONE: We start packing tomorrow for our 3rd move in 4 years but that's ok. I think.
