BREAKING NEWS

DEAR PAPERLICIOUS IS BACK

NO ANSWERS TO WHERE SHE'S BEEN

For Immediate Release
April 1, 2015

Dear Paperlicious:

Now what??  Is this some juvenile April's Fool joke?  Is there anyone left who cares??

Signed,
Yawn

Dear Yawn:

Thanks so much!!!!  Your love sustained me through the dark days.

No, Dear Paperlicious is not a joke.  Blogging is serious business, my friend.  Dear Paperlicious is back, ready to post amazing crafty stuff that companies pay me to make, and write insightful posts on the industry and life that leave you begging for the book to be written.  This blog is going to be awesome.  It already has 196 views and that's just me editing this post.

DP is not quite ready for the craft-o-rama to begin because I've been busy working to design this blog.  Well, picking out a design.  It was exhausting and more on that later.

Question: do you have any idea how many blogger templates there are for sale?
Answer:  About 7,000 and 6,984 of those designs are exactly alike -- lots of black and white.  When did blogging get so serious?  Except for Social and Chic, who rocked this design.
So here I am, all giddy in my first-day-of-retirement glow, contemplating how I can get out of doing all the things I promised Mr. DP I'd do once I was retired (weeping with joy at the phrase "once I was retired").

Let the nothing begin.

Sincerely,
DP

Yay! You're back! And apparently retired from that fast-paced Washington D.C. job; so congratulations! I am looking forward to you're crafty stuff and your sense of humor about crafts and life in general. 😄

So happy so see the construction phase is now over :D!! Really retired, that's not April Fool's either? Have a wonderful time doing nothing as well as filling it up with things to do.

So happy to see you (and Mr. DP) back! Enjoy your commentary on all things paper, thoughts on life and humor in being a lawyer married to a lawyer (I'm one of those too). :)

What??? You're retired? Oh, happy day! My last day EVER at work will be August 14. Using several weeks of accrued vacation and then the official retirement date is Nov. 2. I've already got Short Timer's Syndrome. Love the clean look of your new blog, Joan. I've been very curious to see what you'll be creating here. I laughed out loud at the 196 views! Sounds a lot like me! Congratulations on both your retirement and your new home on the web!

Hmmm. I guess I'm supposed to know who DP is, but I don't. (Other than "designer paper" on many paper crafter's blogs!) I hate acronyms. They are way too overused these days and most of them have multiple possibilities for meanings. I read Paperlicious and I Make I Talk, so if DP is something I should know from the other blogs I've already forgotten it.

So, anyway, don't know if I'll stick around for this one or not since I already feel out of the loop. Lots of great cards on Paperlicious, but not so much on I Make I Talk. Don't think I'm ready for this next ride. But, who knows. Maybe I'll check back sometime and change my mind.
