Easter Basket for Mr. DP (One Up Opportunity)

This bunny face!!!

A dark chocolate Lindt bunny surrounded by a few polka dot chocolate candies, all wrapped up in a soft cardboardy berry basket from Michaels that I whited up with a Hero Arts white ink dauber.

Since this basket is for a guy, I added a wood tag made from this wood paper.  The wood cuts like butter.  Well, actually like paper.  I've been hoarding my one sheet.  Takes ink beautifully.  Hoard no more!

Mr. DP and I have a running joke on one upping each other.  It will never occur to him to get me anything for Easter, so this little basket fits the bill perfectly!

Supplies:

Candy
wood paper
container (CraftsSmart brand from Michaels 6 containers for $5.99)
circle die
cellophane wrap
gold ribbon (Paper Source)
gold foil paper, button die (Impression Obsession)
VersaMagic Purple Hydrangea Ink
Encore gold ink
Hero Arts white ink dauber
Solid Hopping Bunny stamp from Impressions Obsession
sentiment from Waltzingmouse Card It
random dot stamp
off white filler papers (Paper Source)

MOOD WHEN DONE = Awesome

What a cute idea. I don't usually do anything for the DH for Easter but since it is also his birthday; maybe I'll give something like this a shot.

it's great to see you back Joan. That's a great Easter basket for Mr. DP. Did he also retire? I know it will be fun to see your creations once again and even more to read your zany posts. No pressure here...retirement is hard work :D

Will Mr. DP feel guilty enough to share the candy?? Welcome back, Joan! Congrats on retirement!

First of all...happy retirement and can I just say how happy I am you're back to regular blogging. I have taken a lot of your comments about clearing out your space when you moved to heart and, though I don't know you, often try to keep in mind what Joan would do when trying to decide about storing, tossing or keeping an item. :) Fantastic project. Can't wait to see what you are up to next!
