Hey, Girl

Joan Bardee

Made this card for someone who deserves it!  Just ink, paper, stamps.  Easy to make and easy to mail.   Made a few of these, using a variety of colors and sentiments, but this is the one that worked best.  Love that green!

This card also fits the criteria of the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge, Blossom.

Speaking of challenges, I am trying to participate but often the deadline passes before I can do so.  Not sure how folks make and post cards daily!  In the meantime, I am focusing on some non card paper crafting that I hope to share soon.

Paper:  Essentials by Ellen, White Linen
Ink:  Fresh Ink, Grass; Ranger Archival Black
Stamps:  Essentials by Ellen Bohemian Garden and Hello Gorgeous

MOOD WHEN DONE = Appreciative

I, too, love the Grass fresh and fun! Great card, Joan. And I'm with you on the challenges. How do people keep up? I'm not that organized.

Love the contrast between that vibrant green and the black!
As far as participating in challenges, I can't even find the energy to stamp period!! This year has been dedicated to my HS senior. I figure I'll need stamping to fill my time soon enough when my boys leave for new adventures. Till then, I'll enjoy your creations!

Perfection, and I mean that most seriously. I, too, love that shade of green. So fresh on the white with the black contrasting sentiment. I love your style, Joan.

Joan, this is just perfect in its simplicity! Thanks for the visual reminder that not everything has to be multiple layers and techniques.

Your green, black and white colour scheme is so fresh and pretty. Thanks for taking time to play in our challenge I agree with you it is hard to get to them sometimes.
I think this might be the first time I have stayed to comment on your new blog, sorry about that, be assured I was thrilled to see you back and I love reading and browsing here.

I have been examining this card - why does it work? It looks like completely random placement of these various elements to my eye - something I would never, ever have done, and yet it is absolutely perfect! So glad you joined us at OLS!

I agree with Ardyth! Its a completely unusual card - green for flowers?!? But it looks absolutely wonderful! Wish I had done that! :)
