Flower Sunshine

Before we talk card, can we talk about how fantastic it is to clean up and organize?  I spent the past few days doing exactly that, and finally found a spot for all those little things that have been messing me up -- pieces in progress, die cuts, stencils, etc.  I just created file folders for them, and voila! Peace and happiness.

Now that I can find my stencils, I used one to make this fun card.  It's a large stencil from Hero Arts called Large Flower Stencil (6.5' x 5.25').  Just placed it in the corner of this white linen card, and blended 3 shades of ink, yellow, light orange, and a darker orange.  Added a sentiment from Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages and a few star sequins.

And then I put everything back where it belongs.

MOOD WHEN DONE = Sunny

  4. Very pretty, Joan, and happy that organizing and cleaning affects others as it does me!

  5. Love your use of the stencil - and those colors just make me smile. I have been procrastinating about cleaning my studio for oh um - about a year (in my defense, I did have shoulder surgery during that time). You are totally right about how good it would feel (I imagine) to have that task done. I'll consider your well timed post as a nudge from above to just do it!

  7. Lovely card Joan...I too have been re-organising and found things I'd forgotten about. It feels good to be in charge of 'stuff' rather than the opposite. I'm trying to blog regularly again by the way.....

  8. This is so pretty the way it fades away! Sunny and cheerful. Cute to add the little stars, too. One of these days I'll finish what I started in my room, trying to reclaim some of the space. Trouble is it's the last room in the house to get any attention and there's so much other stuff to do!
