Dallas!

Our house went to settlement on Friday and we immediately hit the road in our 2003 Prius. The only traffic we encountered on the Friday before Labor Day was (naturally) in DC.

We got to Dallas on Sunday and immediately had car trouble! Nevertheless, today we hit the road (courtesy of our realtor) to start house hunting. This should be interesting.

We are very much looking forward to settling into a new place. I seriously NEED my stamping supplies out and about and Mike needs everything in its place!

I'll keep you posted, but right now nothing but house hunting on the horizon!

Best of luck in finding a house that is suitable for you physically (ideally no stairs!) and in every other way - like a crafting space and good amenities nearby.

will be anxious to hear what you find - it will be all good - I'll be in Dallas at Thanksgiving time so hope you're all settled by then and we can meet and have coffee!

If you can't find anything in Dallas, we have plenty of houses to see in Corpus Christi! LOL Best of luck in your journey.

It's always a good day to see an email from you, dear Joan.
The right house is out there waiting. It will speak to you loud and clear or with a whisper, just listen and don't settle. Take your time and never shop when you're tired. It will happen.

House hunting sounds fun, I think. Can be tiring, but an adventure, and I know you'll find something beautiful and perfect. This is quite a move you've made. Everything must be so different from DC. I'm glad you checked in to keep us in the loop, Joan. I'm looking forward to more news!

I don't envy you in this next step. House hunting can be daunting. But, keep the faith, have your check list of the most important items to you guys, and take a deep breath. Enjoy the adventure of acquainting yourself with your new 'hometown'. Thanks for the update.
